On Wednesday, April 17, MG Partner Carol Loewenson spoke in a panel discussion on ‘Re-Envisioning 21st Century Public Libraries & Affordable Housing.’ The panel focused on the new Sunset Park Library and affordable housing project that broke ground earlier this year. This shared-use model, as made possible by the Fifth Avenue Committee and Brooklyn Public Library, will be the first of its kind in New York City. Mitchell Giurgola is currently working on the new branch that will occupy more than 20,000 SF of the building, providing greatly expanded state-of-the-art library space for the Sunset Park community.
