Rogers Hall, 6 Metrotech Center, is the largest building on the NYU-Tandon Campus originally constructed in 1920 as a factory for the American Safety Razor Company. As part of a long-term strategic plan to upgrade teaching and research facilitates on the Brooklyn campus, NYU Tandon School of Engineering identified the fourth floor of Rogers Hall as an ideal space for new research laboratories and office space for the Civil and Urban Engineering (CUE) Department. CUE is one of the oldest civil engineering programs in the country and is home to important research groups including C2SMART and INTERCEP. The renovation of the department will provide office/computational labs and dry research labs including visualization labs, computational workstations and open collaboration suites.
